Song-Tank partners with MCPS-PRS Alliance
Song-Tank, the professional online music community for songwriters, composers, copyright owners and commissioners of music has announced an exclusive deal with the MCPS-PRS Alliance.
Under the deal, the 50,000 members of PRS and MCPS will be offered an exclusive Song-Tank profile with additional benefits, heavily discounted from standard rates. Members will also be given access to 250MB of music storage space.
Song-Tank is a business orientated platform where people with music can communicate directly with people who want it, and vice versa.
PRS and MCPS members will be able to network and collaborate with other musicians as well as showcase their music to potential users. Members will need a membership log-in to the MCPS-PRS website to be able to take advantage of the Song-Tank offer.
Jo Prowse, Membership and Operations MD of the MCPS-PRS Alliance said; 'We are happy to be able to provide our members with a new and increased benefit of their membership of PRS and MCPS. By accessing the Song-Tank professional musician's community via our website, our members will be able to take advantage of the many benefits the Song Tank service offers.'
Every Song-Tank member has a personal profile page where they upload a brief biography and picture. Music is uploaded into public, friends only or private folders, enabling different levels of privacy and the site has a powerful keyword-specific music search engine, enabling music creators and commissioners of music to easily search the site.
The Song-Tank service already has some high profile supporters.
Guy Chambers, songwriter and PRS member said; ‘Song-Tank is a great concept. The easily accessible and user-friendly site brings together an online community, opening doors for producers and musicians alike.’
Steve Mac, songwriter, producer and PRS member said; ‘As a busy writer and producer time comes at a premium. Song-Tank gives my chosen network of colleagues the facility to browse my catalogue of both recorded and un-recorded work and contact me in an extremely efficient way. It certainly saves a lot of wasted time and effort. For me, Song-Tank is a no-brainer!’
PRS and MCPS members will be offered Song-Tank at 30 days free then £24.95 per month which can be deducted from PRS distributions.
