Music Stage set to rock Taste of London
The Performing Right Society is sponsoring the Music Stage at the Taste of London culinary festival taking place from 21 – 24 June in Regents Park.
The PRS Music Stage will present 12 bands spanning across rock, jazz, classical, soul and pop genres.
Taste of London is a celebration of the finest cuisine the capital has to offer. Visitors can mingle with world-famous chefs and sample signature dishes from 50 prestigious restaurants.
Ellis Rich, Chairman of PRS said: 'Playing live on the PRS music stand is a fantastic opportunity for artists to perform to the Taste of London crowd. We are proud to sponsor this event and it’s a great example of how music can enhance your experience with food.’
Highlights of the line up include acoustic jazz artist Daniel Healy performing with his band on Thursday 21 June with his fresh soulful beats that bring people to their feet.
Xantoné Blacq will be performing what he describes as 'Free-Range Sunshine Music' a mix of Jazz-Funk, Soul, Afro and Latin music. Performing on Saturday 23 June, his new album has already received airplay on Radio 1, Radio 2, Kiss FM and BBC Asian Network.
Cornwall’s folk group, the Noel Prior band will take to the stage on Saturday 23 June. The band was recently described in the NME as ‘Cornwall’s biggest mainstream act for 2007’ and played at the PRS New Music Stage at Edinburgh Festival last year.
To hear these bands and many more while experiencing all the culinary delights Taste of London has to offer call 0870 060 3783 to book tickets.
PRS is taking part in the Taste of London festival to celebrate the relationship between music and food. Restaurateurs are increasingly aware of the value of music in creating atmosphere, motivating staff, and attracting customers, and this is reflected in the 22% growth in the number of PRS Music Licences bought by restaurateurs over the past 2 years.
