Finalists for the PRS sponsored Music Retail Store of the Year Award have been announced today and include venues in Hamilton, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Held annually, the Music Retail Store of the Year Award is one of several accolades given out during this year’s Scottish Grocer Awards. This award recognises the venue that demonstrates an active use of music to influence customers shopping habits, create atmosphere and to increase sales or staff morale, all through the use of music.
PRS, the Performing Right Society which represents composers and songwriters, are proudly sponsoring Music Retail Store of the Year Award for 2007.
The finalists are:
- Botterills Convenience Stores - Dunnet Court, West Craigs, Hamilton.
- Londis - Niddrie Mains Road, Craigmillar, Edinburgh.
- Scottish Co-op - 1517 Paisley Road West, Glasgow.
Keith Gilbert, Managing Director of PRS Public Performance Sales said: ‘Congratulations to the finalists for the Music Retail Store of the Year Award. They all actively use music in their stores and have proved, once again, that music is good for business.’
This year’s ceremony to announce the winners will take place at Hilton Glasgow, on Thursday 8 March.
