Held annually, the Music Retail Store of the Year Award is one of several accolades given out during this year’s Scottish Grocer Awards. This award recognises the venue that demonstrates an active use of music to influence customers shopping habits, create atmosphere and to increase sales or staff morale, all through the use of music.
The awards ceremony took place last night at the Hilton Glasgow.
Finalists for the Award were the Londis, Craigmillar, Edinburgh and the Scottish Co-op, Paisley Road, Glasgow.
Judges have commended Botterills Convenience Store for its innovative use of music to enhance the atmosphere in the store, improve its customers shopping experience and boost staff morale.
Manager of Botterills Convenience Store Jennifer Clark on receiving the award said:
‘I am ecstatic and thrilled that we won as it is the first time for this award. It’s a great achievement for Botterills as a company as well as for the store.’
Keith Gilbert, Managing Director of PRS Public Performance Sales praised Botterills Convenience Store for being voted the top club in the UK this year:
