It has been rumoured that the UK’s first permanent Hall of Fame will be established at the O2 Arena in Greenwich.
The Hall of Fame could form part of a Popworld attraction which will trace the history of popular music from the end of World War Two until the present day.
It has also been suggested that instead of Hollywood-style handprints, the Hall of Fame will feature holograms which bring to life such legends as David Bowie and The Who at the touch of a button.
The Popworld attraction is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2009.
