CDsDigital grow as physical sales drop

A new report by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) has revealed that CD sales have dropped 10% in 2007 whilst digital single purchases have increased by 50%.

The report highlights that despite the increase in digital sales, overall sales are still falling.

The decline in CD sales is forcing record companies to think of new ways to make money from music and break unique artists in the market.
