Fender create Black Strat in honour of David Gilmour
Fender have created a new version of their celebrated Stratocaster guitar based on David Gilmour's much-modified black stratocaster.
Gilmour's guitar, originally made in 1970, features a 1957 re-issue maple neck, a kahler locking tremolo system, a Seymour-Duncan bridge pick-up and is currently fitted with a strap which once belonged to Jimi Hendrix.
The release of the Black Strat guitar will co-incide with the release of a 3CD live album from the Pink Floyd guitarist called Live in Gdansk.
