Glastonbury closes to sounds of The Verve
The Verve closed the 2008 Glastonbury Festival on 29 June 2008 with a set that included old hits as well as material from their new album, Forth.
The Worthy Farm event saw a host of acts including Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Franz Ferdinand, Lily Allen and Duffy play to over 120,000 revellers in the heart of the Somerset countryside over a weekend that was largely blessed with fine weather.
Organiser Michael Eavis has hinted that arrangements are already under way for a 2009 event and claims that he already has four acts wishing to play headline slots.
