Ian Curtis' tombstone stolen

The tombstone of deceased Joy Division singer Ian Curtis has been stolen from Macclesfield cemetery.

The grave receives thousands of visits every year from fans paying their respects to the icon who committed suicide in 1980.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft to come forward.
