Wet Sounds debuts in Hackney lido
An underwater sound art installation curated by PRS member Joel Cahen received its debut in the London Fields Lido on 6 July 2008.
The project, which has been supported by the PRS Foundation for New Music, is due to see Cahen tour a number of lidos around the country with a collection of marine speakers which will play specially-written compositions by a selection of international composers.
Depending on its success, Cahen hopes that Wet Sounds will find a permanent home in East London's Haggerston Pool, a venue that has been closed since 2000. See the Wet Sounds website for more information about the project and the artists involved.
