Chris Gorman
Glasgow’s music scene has always produced amazing talent, and singer-songwriter Chris Gorman is the latest example.
Chris’s songs are dark and powerful; he cites Radiohead and Jeff Buckley as his key influences. Whether he’s performing solo with his piano, or with his band, the anger and raw emotion in his music is never far from the surface.
Chris' track for our podcast is called Ashes.
Visit myspace.com/chrisgorman for info on Chris, including how to sign up to his mailing list. |

Andy Hagiioannu
Andy has been playing guitar since he was 9, moving from classical to experimental-improvisatory rock and fusion in his teens, and later, into more mainstream jazz.
Andy paid his dues playing small gigs around the Midlands, where he developed as a guitarist and composer, learning from other musicians and forming the distinctive style and compositional approach heard on his debut album, Far and Wide.
The album has been warmly received by critics and is gaining airplay in the States and Europe.
Our podcasts features Sundial from Andy’s debut album.

Starling
Starling formed at the beginning of 2006 with the intention of gigging as much as they could for a year and then getting in the studio to record.
This they've done and are now putting the finishing touches to the recordings with producer Darren Allison, best known for his work with Spiritualized and The Divine Comedy. The band will be releasing their first single very soon.
Their track for our podcast is Say What You Will .

Phil King
Phil is a young Bristol-based singer-songwriter, who has been gigging for the last 4 years. Highlights include sets at London’s Jazz Café, and at Glastonbury, Trowbridge and Ashton Court festivals, and supports with Amp Fiddler and Kate Walsh.
He is in great demand, so as well as fronting his own band, he sings with R’n’B band BACKYARD, and blues-soul outfit, THE FORSTER-KING BAND.
We were knocked out when we heard his material, and think you will be too. Listen to Leaves, the title track from Phil’s debut studio album.
Check Phil’s myspace for details of how to get hold of his album, and for forthcoming gig dates.
