This is a joint MCPS and PRS licence and covers both performing and mechanical rights, allowing you to reproduce and store music and deliver music to members of the public whether by means of streaming, downloading or podcasting.
How do you apply for the scheme?
To apply for a LOEL you must complete a hard copy of the application form and return it to us by post, at: Online Licensing, 5th Floor BMH, 29-33 Berners Street, London, W1T 3AB

All fees include VAT. The fees will be reduced for services operating for less than 12 months, subject to a minimum charge £54 (excluding VAT).
In some circumstances, for example if your usage falls into Band C, you may prefer to be licensed under the terms of our Joint Online Licence (JOL). If your gross revenue is expected to be more than £6,250 per year, or your usage exceeds the maximum limits for Band C above, you need to apply for a Joint Online Licence (JOL).
What is excluded from the LOEL Licence?
• Use of music in advertising or sponsorship.
• Use of music as mobile ringtones.
• Simulcasting (broadcasting via more than one medium at the same time).
• General entertainment content (covered under Joint General Entertainment On-Demand (GEOD) scheme.
• Reproduction of lyrics and musical notation.
• Complete recordings of dramatico-musical works (musicals, operas).
• Music used in a context that is derogatory to the writer or the performer of the music.
• Moral rights.

Under this scheme you are required to report details of the total levels of music usage, including the different types of use (e.g streaming, downloading), to us at the end of the clearance term.
