How much does it cost?
Royalty rates are 8% of gross revenue for on-demand services including downloads and subscription streaming services, 6.5% for interactive webcasting services and 5.75% for non-interactive webcasting. Minimum rates per download, per stream or per subscriber apply. Please see the JOL summary for a guide to the fee structure.
How do you apply for a licence?
Please complete the JOL application form.
If you operate more than one type of music service, please complete a separate service sheet for each service.
If your music service is likely to generate less than £6,250 a year in gross revenue you may wish to apply for the Limited Online Exploitation Licence (LOEL).
