How to obtain clearance for the use of music on aerobics cassettes/CDs.

What are the rights and formats covered under the agreement?

The scheme covers mechanical rights across CD, DVD and cassette formats.

How do you apply for the scheme?

How much do you pay?

15% of the gross revenue from the supply of the cassettes/CDs.

A non-returnable annual advance of £10,000 (+VAT) is also required, this will be offset against any royalties which accrue.

How does the reporting and payment process work?

Application and payment sent to us ---> Application processed ---> Clearance granted.

Cue sheets for each product must be submitted to us within 14 days of the compilation being made.

Quarterly returns are also required and should reach us within 14 days of the end of the quarter.

What does the scheme exclude?

Advertisements.

What are the main restrictions of the scheme?

The clearance will only apply to cassettes, DVDs and CDs supplied to sites that have obtained PRS clearance.
