Further information
Advertisements using commercial music are often cleared with an allowance for shorter "cut-down" versions of a standard 30 second advertisement. An allowance for small circumstantial script changes known sometimes as "tag endings" may also be included in a licence for no extra charge, but must always be discussed and agreed in advance.
Advertising campaigns consisting of a number of different scripts using the same piece of commercial music may be cleared on an aggregate rate rather than a rate per script, but again this should be agreed in advance.
In all cases it is important that you make separate arrangements to clear the recording you wish to use, unless you are commissioning your own recording.
